Strategic Update
Since our last update in 2025, Milton’s economy has advanced with resilience, fostering new employment opportunities and supporting a more diverse and adaptable labour market—despite broader economic uncertainty. We welcomed many new companies into our Derry Green Corporate Business Park, including global leaders like HPG and Schneider Electric, which have brought high quality employment across advanced manufacturing, professional services, and logistics sectors.
This positive trajectory has carried into 2026. With the help of our new brand InvestMilton and a refresh, modernized digital marketing approach, Milton is increasingly being recognized globally as a destination of choice for multinational firms (from Denmark to France), with companies selecting and reinvesting in our established business parks to support their expansion and relocation strategies.
Our strategic proximity to key regional markets, combined with a reliable pipeline of skilled talent, continues to be a defining competitive advantage. We believe this will only continue to improve as we make headway on the Milton Education Village site. We are excited about the renewed campus visions and work that is underway with our partners at both Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College, despite some unexpected shifts this sector has had to bear over the last several years. We are very encouraged by this re-engagement and look forward to sharing more news with MEDAC as it becomes publicly available.
Recent activity in advanced manufacturing, warehousing, and logistics—including head office investments and expansions—has strengthened the quality and variety of employment opportunities available locally. These developments are not only creating jobs but also expanding career pathways and reinforcing the long-term resilience of our economy. In 2025, InvestMilton helped to support a +2.9 per cent increase in job growth across sectors, despite challenging economic dynamics.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on enabling business success by working in close partnership with industry, government, and community stakeholders. This coordinated approach ensures Milton is top of mind for investors and continues to offer a stable, responsive, and business-friendly environment to attract new partnerships and global leaders to our community.
Milton continues to demonstrate strong and steady economic momentum, driven by sustained private-sector investment, ongoing business expansion, and meaningful collaboration with community and regional partners. You will see this growth and momentum reflected in our latest Annual Report linked below.

Business Park Quarterly Highlights
Derry Green Corporate Business Park
Derry Green Corporate Business Park continues to serve as Milton’s primary employment growth area, encompassing approximately 800 hectares of designated employment lands near Highway 401 and James Snow Parkway.
At full build out, Derry Green is expected to have 9M square feet of prime industrial inventory. Development is proceeding in phases based on infrastructure availability and tenant demand.
Recent provincial changes have narrowed the types of uses permitted on employment lands, making Derry Green’s focus on high-quality industrial development even more important.
Despite constraints, Milton is seeing strong interest from companies that are consolidating older facilities in other municipalities and relocating to modern, efficient space in Derry Green.
New Tenants
Schneider Electric, FleetOptics and Macro Universe Enterprises are recent examples of innovative companies relocating head office functions to Milton. These moves bring modern industrial operations, while also adding professional, corporate, and administrative jobs associated within their new head office locations.
In 2025, HPG LP also opened a precision manufacturing facility in the Derry Green Business park. With an additional 1.1M square feet of lease activity, the last year has been busy for the InvestMilton team and reflects sustained demand for modern employment space despite a turbulent economy.
Business Spotlight
Schneider Electric
InvestMilton was proud to join Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy technology, to celebrate the grand opening of its new Canadian headquarters in Milton’s Derry Green Business Park. A $17 million investment, the headquarters spans 45,154 square feet and will bring 400 high-quality employment opportunities to our community.
