In 2025, HPG moved their operation from Mississauga to a new facility in the Derry Green Business Park. Specializing in precision components for aerospace, defence, space and power generation, HPG is a welcome addition to Milton’s growing manufacturing sector. We spoke with Naeem Mustafa, General Manager, about HPG’s evolution, its investment in Milton and what’s ahead for the company.
For those who may not be familiar with HPG, how would you describe what you manufacture here in Milton?
HPG specializes in precision manufacturing, producing complex, high-quality components for demanding industries such as aerospace, defense, space (AD&S) and power generation.
Our skilled team combines advanced manufacturing technology with decades of expertise to deliver precision components that meet our customers’ exacting requirements.
HPG was established in the 1960’s, how has the company evolved over the years?
Since 1969, HPG has grown into an advanced precision manufacturing operation. In 2009, HPG and Trimaster were the founding companies of the newly formed Precinmac. We’ve continued to invest in new technology, expand our capabilities, and develop our workforce to meet evolving customer needs.
Becoming part of Precinmac has opened new opportunities for collaboration and continued growth. Today we are Precinmac’s Airfoil Center of Excellence.
What made Milton the right location for HPG’s new facility and continued growth?
HPG is a proud Milton community employer. Today we employ more than 200 people from across our community. Milton offers an ideal combination of access to skilled talent, transportation infrastructure, and a strong manufacturing community.
Our investment in the new facility reflects our confidence in the region and our commitment to continued growth, innovation, and creating opportunities for our employees.
Looking ahead, what excites you most about the future of HPG?
The opportunities for growth are exciting, and we anticipate double-digit growth over the next three years.
As technology advances and customer needs evolve, we’re well-positioned to expand our capabilities and take on new challenges.
Being part of Precinmac provides additional opportunities, but what excites me most is continuing to invest in our people and building on HPG’s legacy.
What’s the best piece of business advice you’ve ever received, and how has it influenced the way you lead your team?
The best advice I’ve received is to surround yourself with great people, give them the tools to succeed, and trust them to do their jobs.
Our people are the foundation of our success, and I believe that when you invest in your team, you build a stronger business.
