E-Learning

The Centre for Skills Development is a free service that helps with your hiring and skilled training needs. It offers services that include:
- Specialized technical training for employees in the areas of construction, electrical, millwright, and machinist trades

Peel Halton Workforce Development Group
Peel Halton Workforce Development Group (PHWDG) provides expertise and local labour market information to improve coordinated planning of employment and training services that meet community needs.
Tools for employers include:
An interactive toolkit designed for job seekers, employers, employment service providers, educators, as well as training and skills development practitioners to better understand the labour market in Peel and Halton regions.
Provides information about experiential learning, how to provide a meaningful experience, and how to connect with students.
Annual reports based on employer surveys provide insights into workforce needs, including expected retirement rates, training priorities, and the significance of newcomers to Canada as potential employees.
Halton Multicultural Council Connections
HMC Connections is a not-for-profit organization funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada and Employment Ontario offering various settlement and employment services
They provide:
- Locally and internationally trained professionals for paid and unpaid placement opportunities
- Support for employers to attract and retain the best and brightest employees
- Applicants that have training specialized by sector
- Ongoing support for up to one year for language skills, further education or training as required, basic safety equipment (i.e. work boots etc)
