The Civic Precinct is a transformative downtown initiative that will create a vibrant, pedestrian-focused public space in the heart of Milton’s historic core. Designed to support community activity, business vitality, and placemaking, the precinct will feature a flexible town square surrounded by cafés, restaurants, shops, and civic destinations. 

Building on its proximity to Downtown Milton’s established commercial district, parks, Town Hall, and heritage assets, the Civic Precinct will strengthen the area’s appeal as a destination for residents, visitors, businesses, and community events. 

Phase 1 construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, marking a significant investment in the continued evolution of Downtown Milton. 

The project may also unlock future private-sector development opportunities, including up to three development parcels that could be made available through public-private partnerships, municipal disposition, or private-sector acquisition, creating additional opportunities for investment and mixed-use growth.
